HX5 is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our team in Alamogordo, New Mexico at Holloman Air Force Base in Support of Air Force Testing at the 704th Test Group, Detachment 1, National Radar Test Facility (NRTF). The 704th TG requires a full-time assistant to help the superintendent and supply officer fulfill their daily duties for the NRTF.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Facility management: Assist in the management of over 120 facilities including 40 buildings spread over three geographical areas (RAMS, RATSCAT, and Holloman AFB). This will include reporting construction project progress to the superintendent, as well as escort duties to and from sites up to an hour away.
- Vehicle Control Officer (VCO): Assist VCO on day-to-day vehicle control operations.
- MICT: Assist superintendent in gathering data for input to MICT.
- Supply: Assist card holder in gathering requirements, filling out abstracts, receiving and distributing or storing supplies.
- Unit safety Manager: Assist superintendent in safety inspections, filling out inspection logs, and maintaining unit safety paperwork.
- Environmental Coordinator: Assist superintendent in coordinating environmental requests and monitoring contractor's environmental program.
- Equipment Account: Assist the equipment account custodian on inspections, inventory, and entering/removing items.
Education and Experience:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to work within procedures and processes of the NRTF and DoD regs and guidelines
- Ability to handle, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lifts and moves heavier items with assistance
- Ability to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required
- Exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the NRTF as well as high standards of quality and excellence in performing duties
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- General knowledge of AF vehicle management
- General knowledge of AF facility management
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within six (6) months of start date.
- Must be able to travel, including air travel.
