TITLE: Room Inspector
DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping
REPORTS TO: Executive Housekeeper
JOB SUMMARY: Assists the Executive and Assistant Executive Housekeepers in overseeing the standard of room cleanliness through room inspections.
JOB PROFILE:
1. Daily Housekeeping Responsible for maintaining Hamister Hospitality standards of cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas.
- Reports to the maintenance department any deficiencies in the rooms or public areas.
- Personally inspects room quality to Hamister Hospitality criteria.
- Relieves laundry, houseman, and room attendant duties during very heavy activity periods or during very low activity periods.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
2. Compliance and Record Keeping
A. Must possess the ability to keep accurate and up-to-date records and maintain files.
B. Maintains records within the housekeeping department.
C. Completes all company and Brand required training.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Dependable work background.
- At least 3 years of housekeeping experience preferred
PREFERRED SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
- Demonstrates performance in all areas of housekeeping.
- Works in an atmosphere that is demanding, hot, and physical.
- Ability to plan and implement Hamister Hospitality housekeeping programs.
- Communicates with management, laundry and housekeeping staff, and employees.
- Must be mature, neat in appearance, courteous, and friendly.
- Must display a high degree of pride and integrity in job performance.
- Must be able to learn, comprehend, communicate, and enforce all company policies pertaining to his or her position, department, and hotel.
- Ability to work varied numbers of hours per week on a rotating basis.
- Must be professionally dressed and wearing a nametag at all times.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand, reach, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, carry or push (up to 75 lbs.), lift (up to 50 lbs.), see (look for dirt or stains), hear (for security purposes), climb stairs or ladders, and have manual dexterity.
- Must be capable of the physical activity necessary to be able to perform all of the tasks designated for room attendants, laundry personnel, and general cleaners.
