Responsibilities
Job duties include (but are not limited to)...
- Welcoming, and checking in guests to the hotel.
- Careful accounting and collecting of payments for rooms and market purchases.
- Cooperation and assistance to other team members, including our bartenders and breakfast attendants, as demand requires.
- Regular re-stock of office supplies, and market items for sale.
- Light but regular cleaning of work areas through shift.
- Facilitate proper communications with housekeeping and maintenance departments.
- Answer calls for reservations, guest requests, and provide information about the hotel and area in a professional manner.
- Ability to manage time under pressure, and to respond to life / safety situations by contacting emergency services.
- Dutiful selling of rooms, upgrades, and market items.
- Enrolling guests in the World of Hyatt rewards program.
- Regular participation in self-paced ongoing educational software to be able to understand job roles, Hyatt Place branding, and for potential advancement opportunities.
- Create regular reports and communications as needed.

Qualifications

- Applicants should be fully proficient in speaking and writing in English. Multilingual skills are very welcome.
- Hosts should enjoy working with the public, and have a cooperative demeanor.
- Candidates must maintain the highest levels of professional ethics and integrity.
- You must arrive to work in a timely manner, maintaining good hygiene and ready to work according to your posted schedule.
- Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to use computers and associated technology including office applications and web-based communication and data management software.
- Ability to safely lift 20 lbs, and to stand for most of the work shift (with required breaks).
- Willingness to commit to a regular schedule, and to be flexible in covering other shifts as business demands merit.
We are hiring immediately anticipating an imminent hotel opening for all shifts both part time and full time. Starting wage will be $20/hour USD plus major US Holidays, hotel discounts, and 1 week annual vacation accrual after 90 days probationary employment period.
