Our growing compounding pharmacy is looking for a reliable pharmacist with superb customer service, strong communication skills and people management abilities.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Implements company initiatives to increase profitability
- Actively delivers patient care services
- Supervises pharmacy technicians, clerks and pharmacy interns
- Upholds operational standards including performance metrics, safety and compliance Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Must have an active pharmacy license in state(s) of practice with all held licenses in good standing
- The ideal applicant will be a long-term fit with our company, as well as a dedicated team member that likes to benefit from their own hard work. Independent pharmacy experience is a plus, but not required.
- Performs and/or oversees the completion of all routine and tasks, including but not limited to : Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, route of administration, potential drug interactions, and special geriatric considerations, warnings/precautions associated with prescribed medication, potential adverse reactions, and stability.
- Collaborates with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide quality pharmacy services.
- Procures and maintains all required documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as Pharmacy policy.
- Ensures accuracy of filled medications.
- Provides Clinical expertise by responding professionally to medication related questions.
- Assists with overseeing pharmacy technicians and staff.
- Prior compounding experience is preferred.
- Understand and follow Pharmacy Policy and Procedures.
- Take On-Call responsibilities on a routine basis.
- Accepts ownership and accountability for the successful completion of assigned functions and achievement of goals.
- Strives for compliance by all staff with internal controls and state and federal regulations.
- Participates in the development and successful implementation of plan(s) of improvement as indicated, recommended and/or required by Supervisor, Director, or any other corporate or regulatory compliance consultant.
- Provides training to other staff that is necessary to successful job performance, consistent with company standards and expectations, and facilitates cross-functional awareness and proficiency.

- MUST have current, unrestricted license in the state(s) where you will be practicing.
- Leadership and supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to quickly identify problems and find effective solutions.

- Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
- Ability to make independent decisions.
- Ability to multitask and complete jobs without supervision.
