Position: Food Service Helper
Details: 10 month position (works September to June - same calendar as the students!)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 3.75 hour work day (exact schedule varies by school - mid-morning start time)
Rate: $15.00/hour

Required: Ability to lift 25lbs regularly, and up to 50lbs occasionally
Description: This is an entry-level position in the Nutrition Services Department. Typical work duties include assisting in the preparation of food; assists in the preparation of cold food items; cleans and prepares vegetables for cooking; assembles food items for box/bag lunches; serves food according to menu and diet requirements; provides substitute food items as required; works as cashier by operating a computer “Point-of Sale” system; cleaning of kitchen equipment; washing dishes, pots, and pans by hand or machine; cleans work areas and equipment such as counters, trays, tray carts, hot food tables, coffee urns, toasters, etc.; handles food and equipment in accordance with sanitary practices; sweeps, mops, and cleans kitchen area.
