Hyde Park Restaurant Group is seeking a Regional Manager which will be based at our corporate office in Beachwood, Ohio (must reside in the Cleveland or MIchigan area). We are looking for a high-energy, self-motivated professional who is a proven leader, searching for a company with tremendous opportunities and career development.
We have been in business for 36 years, with 12 properties in 5 states, and are looking for additional corporate support to help us double the size of the Company in the next 2 to 5 years.
A successful Regional Restaurant Manager is seasoned and hands-on with a solid background in an upscale restaurant or related position and will play a key role in providing leadership and direction to restaurant general manager(s) and the executive chefs. The role will include all day-to-day operating activities including staffing, revenue growth, expense, cost and margin control, and monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management. This role will be visible and tasked with delivering consistent service excellence, operational effectiveness and strong revenue numbers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide visible leadership to management and employees while encouraging a restaurant atmosphere focused on excellent hospitality.
- Work within existing policies and procedures to ensure goals are achieved relating to revenue and growth.
- Attract, retain and motivate associates; interview, hire, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve challenges, provide open communications and recommend discipline and termination, as appropriate.
- Conduct performance evaluations on a timely basis; recommend promotions or corrective actions when appropriate and ensure that general managers are doing the same.
- Supervise implementation of best practices and provide training and mentoring. Manage the restaurant as appropriate in order to achieve guest satisfaction, quality service, compliance with company policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations while meeting/exceeding financial goals.
- Implement company programs and manage the operations as required to ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, superior level of service and quality are provided to the guests.
- Forecast, implement, monitor, control and reporting (labor costs, food costs, beverage costs, supplies, equipment, etc.) to maximize revenue and minimize expenses while ensuring adequate supplies and staff are on hand to provide superior quality guest service.
- Respond to guest trends, needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.
- Recommend and implement promotions, and ideas to bring in more guests and gain a larger share of the local market.
- Monitor and control the maintenance and sanitation of all areas of the restaurant and equipment to protect the assets, comply with regulations and ensure quality service.
- Ensure that operational and training standards are consistently followed and executed.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Five plus years of full employment in a regional, district or above store level restaurant role or related position.

- Requires thorough knowledge of restaurant practices and procedures in order to analyze data, diagnose issues and coach the operations team accordingly.
- Ability to make decisions which are guided by established policy and procedures.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, applicable laws, and long-range planning.
- Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals.
- Able to set priorities, plan, organize, delegate and effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
- Have a willingness to learn and adept as necessary to accommodate changes in both the industry and company directions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to be concise, well organized, complete, and clear; have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to move throughout all food and beverage areas and continuously perform essential job functions.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, Open Table, Inventory/accounting systems and general computer skills
- Certificate or diploma in Food safety or HACCP; extensive knowledge of food handling.
- Bachelor’s degree and equivalent work-related experience is strongly preferred
- Corporate Office Cleveland (30-40%) based position with travel outside of Cleveland market (30-50%)
