Mold Shop Technician
Hydro Aluminum Metal – Building a New Plant in Cassopolis, MI.
With new construction of our third Recycling Plant in the US brings the opening of a new, state-of-the-art recycling plant in Cassopolis, Michigan, with startup in the fall of 2023. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implementation and application of Housekeeping and HES principles
- To use and maintain the equipment and working area accordingly
- Use of MES, ERP and other systems in place.
- Apply all relevant procedures and check lists.
- Making the preventive maintenance, maintenance of the casting molds and metal cleaning unit according to procedures.
- Follow up the stock of spare parts for the casting and SIR unit.
- Participate in the development of Hydro Cassopolis recycling plant.
- Ensure a proper record of all needed information from the process.
- Application and respect of all procedures related to the quality and environmental system and need to inform the line manager on each deviation or incident.
- Be the backup resource for production positions if needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have High School diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Excellent attendance, performance and safety record
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in a Mold Shop
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all Hydro HSE policies
- Excellent communication and interaction skills for dealing with manufacturing leadership, operators, etc.
- Willing to learn how to operate Mold Shop equipment
- Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form
- Solid understanding knowledge of technology (hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical maintenance)
- Understanding of PC applications preferred
TRAVEL:
Except for the period ahead of the start-up where external training will be required, Travel is minimal.

Salary : $44,300 - $56,100
