Shifts Available and Hours: Days
Monday-Friday
7am to 4pm
While primarily a Monday thru Friday day shift role, flexibility for off-shift and weekends should be understood as necessary for assignment completion on occasion
Job Summary:
Technical Services Safety & Training Facilitator develops a systematic and consistent structure for all critical safety and environmental systems with sustainable preventative measures in place to sustain compliance. Drives systematic improvements, projects, and strategically implements simplified solutions where needed and in alignment with the department business strategy/goals to reduce risk. Upholds current and new systems in daily tasks to assure continuous improvement of operational safety and environmental obedience.
Required Education/Experience:
- 5 years of manufacturing experience
- 2 years of process related experience preferred
- Ability to work 8, 10, 12 hour rotating shifts depending on shift availability, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimal knowledge around environmental regulations w/willingness to learn
- Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
- Understands environmental regulations and systems in relative departments – i.e – Storm water permit, waste ware permit, and SPC (Spill protection)
- Ability to work in extreme hot or cold temperatures.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply).
- Ability to perform basic computer application skills.
- Ability to communicate (both written & verbal) and work well with all employees at all levels, willingness to learn new processes and work with limited supervision.
- Ability to use and navigate Microsoft outlook efficiently
- Strong ability to navigate, use, and make logical safety system/environmental decisions
- Ability to execute projects efficiently, effectively, and in a timely manner

Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of/understands and supports department strategy
- Logically prioritizes daily operational tasks
- Initiates safety/environmental improvement projects with precise and timely execution
- Background in plant operations including contractor management
- Strategic development of housekeeping/5S programs and culture
- Drives a culture of safety, risk mitigation, and integration of controls to improve JSA risk ratings
- Monitor routine, project, and non-routine work for safety; for department but also people working in the plant process.
- Implement department safety procedures and continuously train staff so there’s a constant culture of awareness and improvement.
- Manages daily department needs with a strong sense of urgency, including contractor and vendor compliance.
- Involved in safety/environmental investigations with thorough review, strong drive to identify root cause, and integrate sustainable and simple solutions
- Maintains/supports safety compliance goals for WOC/Video reviews and assures department adherence to targets and quality of reviews in conjunction with supervisors.
- Helps train on proper WOC/Video review completion and other safety training/modules
- Cultivates and drives a culture for good housekeeping, organization, and cleanliness through leading by example, positive motivation, and efficient time management.
- Helps direct, structures, and integrates housekeeping projects with systems in place for sustainability
- Develops safety metric via JSA risk ratings to measure risk mitigation improvements
- Audits JSA, LTT, and safety system adherence
- Systematically identifies high risk areas through data and implements reasonable solutions to mitigate risk
- Structures a strategic ‘roadmap’ to track progress and execution
- Strong team abilities and willingness to work with other resources to integrate solutions effectively and strategically
- Improves environmental programs through stabilizing platforms in relation to guidelines, preventative measures, and organized systems to maintain stability
