Job Title: IT Systems Analyst II (Contract)
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 1 Year Contract, with Potential for Permanent Placement
Pay Range: $65-75/hr.
We are working with a client that is a leading provider of midstream energy services to place a highly motivated IT Systems Analyst on their team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-class customer service and technical support to the Natural Gas business.
- Participate in all relevant SOX change management activities.
- Work effectively with a team to maintain ownership for specific system function(s) and/or set of business users.
- Facilitate communications between the business and technical teams.
- Troubleshoot issues, analyze possible causes, define solutions, and work through defined change control processes to enable quick resolution.
- Understand new/changing business requirements and functional enhancements as requested.
- Develop technical specifications and test new solutions in support of business requirements.
- Coordinate end-user support and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Acquire and maintain system and business knowledge needed to support end users and technical teams.
- Support custom interfaces, system enhancements, and ETL processes as required.
- Support Dev, Test, and UAT environments by deploying patches, running tests, and developing environment management scripts.
- Participate in rotational shifts for after-hours business support and technical maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or CIS/MIS from an accredited institution.
- 5 years of experience in database development and analysis (SQL and/or Oracle PL/SQL) required.
- 3 years of experience developing C# (optional).
- 2 years of experience developing JavaScript/Angular (optional).
- Maximum 10 years of relevant experience.
Note: Strong database development skills are required for this role.
