Essential Job Functions
Wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas in compliance with healthcare facility standards.

Operate commercial dishwashing machines and ensure proper use of detergents and sanitizing agents.

Hand-wash and sanitize delicate kitchen items as necessary.

Properly dispose of food waste and garbage, adhering to waste management policies and infection control guidelines.

Assist in the removal of recycling and composting materials.

Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed, such as peeling vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling trays for meal service.
