With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our in our Brazil office! This is a Full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the monthly accounting closing and ensure that tasks are carried out according to the schedule and procedures established by the Company.
- Performs daily tasks of reconciliation, analysis, inventories, internal and external customer service, other tasks in the accounting, financial and tax department.
- Contributes to other areas of the institution, guiding them regarding the necessary records and controls, so that the information complies with accounting standards (CPCs) and established procedures.
- Monitors the closing of withheld duty and indirect taxes.
- Monitors the tax agenda, aiming to meet established deadlines.
- Monitors and carry out routines in the financial area (AR, AP and Cash Flow).
- Monitors and analyzes municipal, state and federal legislation, aiming to stay up to date and verify the impact on the Company and its respective businesses.
- Contributes to ensuring that all financial statements for public bodies (state, federal and municipal) are delivered in accordance with the bodies’ procedures and within the legal deadline.
- Knows the risks in the area and create an action plan together with management to mitigate them.
- Ensures compliance with and/or follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary.
- Actively supports and participates in the safety program, both for self-protection and the protection of other employees, by reading and abiding by all requirements in the Safety Manual and Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
- Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
- Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
- Handles various other duties as delegated by the Accounting Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Studying Accounting or a related field required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of proven experience required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP required.

- Excellent adaptability in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks and projects
