SUD Group Facilitator

Position Overview:

HYPE Counseling Services is looking for Group Facilitator to join our Substance Use Disorder programs in our Richmond, VA location. You will be providing recovery-oriented rehabilitation and psycho-education services in group, or individual settings. This position reports to the Substance Abuse Disorder (SUD) Program Director.

Job Description
What you’ll be doing

Including but not limited to:

  • Facilitator/Co-Facilitator of SUD group.
  • Completion of clinical documentation, to include but not limited to, Individual Service Plans (ISP’s), and discharge summaries.
  • Completion of daily progress notes.
  • Working with individuals with co-occurring disorders.
  • Frequent collaboration with internal treatment team.
  • Provides guidance and support in relapse prevention planning.
  • Collaborates with additional treatment providers and placement agencies to ensure highest level of customer service and continuity of care.
  • Ensures all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Provide individuals with orientation to the program regarding objectives, levels of care, expectations and requirements, hours of services, patient rights, and additional information to help them adjust to the program.

Qualifications

What you need to have:

  • CSAC or CSAC supervisee obtained, or eligible for either.
  • Utilization of Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and other computer programs.
  • General knowledge and understanding of mental illness, substance use, and developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles and components of recovery.
  • Knowledge of supportive counseling practices and techniques.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting, maintain company morale, and build rapport with the individuals we serve.
  • Good personal management skills – time management, organization, dependability, and independence.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in clinical terminology in regards to documentation.
  • The ability to properly interpret drug screen results.
