LOCATION IS ONSITE: PROVO, UTAH
As a Drafting Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the assisting in the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge electrical systems for our powertrains. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate 3D Modeling. Your expertise will contribute to the advancement of our EV technology and help us achieve our mission of revolutionizing the transportation industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and modify designs using CAD software, such as SolidWorks and Fusion360.
- Create accurate and detailed assembly, sub-assembly, manufacturing, and design drawings and 3D models.
- Ensure that all designs align with project requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
- Capture change requests and update 3D model to reflect changes
- Assist in troubleshooting CAD technical issues and proposing effective solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree or certification in CAD-Drafting or 5 years manufacturing industry drafting experience.
- Knowledge and experience with GD&T
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks and FUSION 360, for 3D modeling and design.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and with minimal guidance.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles, including machining and fabrication.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of ERP part numbering systems
