Job Posting for Fabrication Supervisor (FT) at Hyundai Power Transformers USA
Daily responsibilities of the Fabrication Supervisor will include but are not limited to the following:
- Meets all EHS requirements, and leads by personal example to others.
- Maintains attendance without points within PTO allotted time off system.
- Penetration welding of fitted tank & components.
- Inside welding of tank.
- Die penetration testing.
- Use of Flux core wire.
- Stainless steel welding.
- Torch cutting / carbon arc cutting.
- Transformer lid welding after in-tanking.
- Conservator fabrication & welding of structure for radiator bank.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Policy administration including same-day accident reporting, time-card management, PTO management and safety management per OSHA and company requirements.
- Manage a hostile free work environment including profanity-free professional atmosphere.
- Stays on the floor with members more than 50% of work time.
- Oversees paint shop and blasting area and all fabrication, machining activity and construction.
Qualified candidates for the supervisor position will have to following combination of skills and experience:
- Knowledge of Labor HR Law Policies, and HPT handbook requirements.
- 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Ability to conduct daily reports.
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills including daily use of Excel.
- Ability to learn SAP in a timely manner.
- Must have 2 years of welding experience or a trade school welding certification.
- Must be able to lead by personal example and use excellent communication skills and have the ability to manage issues as they occur.
- Ability to issue discipline approved by HR.
- Ability to read complex blueprints.
- Must be able to operate an overhead crane.
- Must follow company safety guidelines.
- Bachelors or Associates Degree is highly preferred.
