Job Description:

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment then consider a full-time Recycling Specialist position at i2M. We are looking for reliable, motivated, and hardworking team players who will be a vital part in the success of our business. The Recycling Technician is responsible for coordinating the flow, handling, and proper sorting of reused, recycled material. They will support in i2M’s goals to be a zero-waste manufacturing operation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ownership of your work from your first day!
• Responsible for reading and reviewing all work orders and filling out detailed records on a daily basis
• Pick, pull and sort through reused material and be able to categorize based on material and color.
• Monitor all computer animated systems to ensure proper flow of recycled material.
• Prioritize workplace safety and pay attention to details in order to eliminate hazards or prevent accidents.
• Ensure environment remains safe, uncluttered, clean and well-maintained by performing maintenance and general janitorial duties throughout the shift.
• Operate essential material handling equipment at the site.
• This position is exposed to occupational hazards, including but not limited to, high noise levels, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, etc.
• Must wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety protocol

i2M operates 7-days per week 24 hours a day. We rely on local talent and promote from within. Technicians may work any day of the week, including weekends. The openings available are 12 hours per day (dayshift 7:00 AM-7:00 PM)or (nightshift 7:00PM-7:00 AM) on a rotating 2,2,3 schedule. Technicians have the ability to work overtime. Changes in business volume and production requirements can cause the plant to change work schedule.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail, communication and analytical skills.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt with demanding timelines and changes in priorities
• Stand on concrete floors for an extended period of time.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs., climb, move around on stairs, ladders and platforms; twist, turn and bend.
• Excellent time-management skills
• Team player

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
