What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Account Management position at IAB?
The IAB Learning & Development team is an industry resource for professional development by training media professionals and certifying their knowledge. Since 2012, 19,000 professionals at 1,500 companies have participated in our professional development programs.
We are looking for a Director, Account Management - Learning & Development to oversee the execution of our L&D strategy and initiatives for the department and be the liaison for sales/marketing, and post-sales/client support. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across departments, members, and vendors to create IAB training programs that address the learning needs of the industry. You will be responsible for the development of IAB training content with the support of the L&D team, SMEs, and vendors. This role will oversee the L&D deals from the sales team, manage contracts, and the execution of training programs. You will strategize on the direction of the overall IAB L&D department with the VP including new programs, roadmap, product pricing, etc.
Responsibilities, include but not limited to:
- Liaison between L&D and Member Engagement and Development (sales) in providing support for member-focused solutions and help with the selling process
- Oversee post sales execution with clearly defined deliverables, success metrics, and reporting
- Work closely with internal IAB stakeholders and members to schedule check-ins and provide updates during post-sales process to ensure successful execution of sold L&D programs
- Consult IAB member organizations on training needs and serve as a subject matter expert for development of their L&D needs
- Develop curriculum and manage production for online, virtual, and in-person training across all IAB L&D programs
- Manage 3rd party vendors and contracts for training scripts, production, facilitation, etc.
- Train Member Engagement and Development (MED) team on our L&D product offerings and provide support for their sales meetings
- Oversee IAB training initiatives such as Brand Academy, L&D working groups, public courses, and webinars, etc.
- Assist in creating and updating marketing assets that support our training programs
- Manage IAB L&D team members including manager and coordinator
Qualifications:
- 5 years of industry experience in either the digital advertising and media industries or in learning and development
- Solid understanding of adult learning that combines industry and education experience
- Advanced level knowledge of digital media ecosystem
- Experience with client relationships to manage post-sales deliverables
- Deep knowledge of Learning Management Systems and e-learning authoring tools
- Strong project management skills, including project planning, communication, status and issue tracking, and delivery of on-time results
- Self-starter, strong communicator, confident, energetic, positive, focused, dependable, proactive, independent, resourceful, creative, team player and possesses a “can do” attitude.
- Experience with Instructor Led training as well as e-learning teaching and technology, such as Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Premiere Pro), Camtasia
- Bachelor’s degree required
