What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator position at IAC?
Purpose: program and operate CNC machine to fill stock and customer orders
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Work in a team environment
- Read production drawings, blueprints, light programming, operate CNC, punch presses, band saw, drill presses, bender, and shear, as needed
- Communicate with other employees, departments, and supervisors
- Tasks assigned must be completed within the time frames given, and according to the specifications of each order
- Operate an overhead crane, forklift and/or tow motor
- Ability to work well with other departments associated with order
- May be required to work in other areas of production, as needed
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous CNC light programming/setup/operation
- 1-2 years of on-the-job experience, preferred
