Position Description

Job Title: Budget Manager, Quality Assurance
Location: New York NY Preferred, or US-Remote can be considered
Reports to: Director, QA Audit Lifecycle Management

Position Summary:

IAVI is seeking a Budget Manager, Quality Assurance who is passionate about global health!

The Manager will be responsible for supporting the QA department with all budget-related activities, including projecting and tracking the budget and expense for the department, acting as a liaison between the Quality Assurance department and Finance department, and providing support on contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project and track the budget for the Quality Assurance department as the Budget Manager.
  • In partnership with the Director and QA leads, determine project costs and planned expenditures.
  • Ensure expenditures are properly tracked and invoices and properly coded as received.
  • Act as the liaison and report projected spending to Finance & Operations departments and Donors as requested.
  • Manage invoices with vendors and consultants and ensuring timely payments.
  • Provide support to the Quality Assurance department to help ensure all contracts are properly managed for the department (MSAs, Task Orders, Contract, etc.).
  • Edit, upload and manage the contracting process via Contract Central in partnership with the contracts department as required.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s ’s degree in Finance, Science, or in a related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5 years’ of professional experience is required.
  • Experience in biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, vaccine manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or related field is required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of cGMP, Process and QC Development Quality Assurance & Large-scale Vaccine Manufacturing Systems is highly desirable.
  • Team player with good organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent excel and other basic computer skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven work experience in a multi-cultural environment.

Our integrated capabilities in vaccine and antibody discovery, development, and clinical research take advantage of bio-pharmaceutical industry expertise to accelerate the development and testing of prevention methods for HIV and other diseases. Through the Product Development Center, we support external researchers with technical and scientific expertise to accelerate the development of their own products.

Compensation and Benefits Information for US-Based Candidates:

Annual base salary for this position is: $85,000.00 - 95,000.00

Please note, there may be some variation based on experience level. In addition, this position offers competitive benefits such as annual bonus, generous retirement savings plan, three health insurance plans to choose from, and other benefits.
