Position Overview: 

As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for all accounting and administrative duties related to assigned projects. You will provide support to the Project Accountant Team via various tasks such as payroll, billing, and other accounting-related activities. This position will also support a group of Project Managers to ensure profitable, successful projects. You will also have opportunities for professional development, networking, and team building within the department. Previous experience in Accounting - especially in the construction industry or a related field—is a plus. However, this exact experience is not required for consideration.

 

Base Location/Travel Requirements:

  • This role will be based on-site in our York, PA office. 
  • Occasional travel as necessary to other offices, trainings, and offsite meetings

 

Essential Functions/Duties:

  • Payroll entry/verification, if applicable
  • Assign job numbers and set up within Vista
  • Create job estimates/trackers and enter them into Vista.
  • Job Cost Analysis.
  • Purchase Order closings.
  • Preparation of billings. 
  • Work with the Project Managers to keep accounts receivables current on projects.
  • Assist with additional tasks the Senior Project Accountant and Job Cost Manager assign.

 

Education, Skills, Experience:

Required:

  • High School Diploma

Other:

  • Office experience in a higher-paced environment
  • Must be able to present acceptable documents evidencing identity and employment authorizations per the Federal I-9 requirement

Desired:

  • Associate degree, Business Administration
  • Experience with high-volume payroll and/or invoicing
  • Accounting or process management education
