Your Role and Responsibilities
The Federal Expense Analyst is responsible for ensuring that weekly and monthly financial processes occur as it relates to expenses flowing into and out of the Federal Costpoint subledger system. Specifically, the position oversees the process of lending resources from the Federal division to other divisions within IBM. This includes DOU creation, code determination and processing cost recoveries. The role also analyzes miscodes to clear them to the appropriate location and does root cause analysis to reduce the volume of miscodes. There will be a key transformation component to the role to better automate these processes while still maintaining Federal Government audit requirements
If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $54,000 to $85,000 and is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 4 year degree preferably with focus in Finance or Accounting or advanced degree
- Coursework or experience in Finance or Accounting
- Microsoft Excel (at an intermediate or advanced level)
- Strong communication skills
- Research and reconciliation skills
