Your Role and Responsibilities
Support the Army Futures Command Communications Directorate by managing four social platforms to include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Work to develop a 30-day social media content plan, while staying informed on upcoming events & observances that are further out. Collaborate with other teams across the directorate to develop creative graphics and videos to accompany planned content. Manage the execution of AFC’s social media campaigns by ensuring all members are completing their assigned deliverables on time. Communicate with downtrace organizations to highlight Army Modernization milestones. Track and analyze metrics related to social media performance.
The resource must be onsite in Austin, TX.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 3 years experience in marketing, social media management or advertising
- Knowledge of how to run current social media platforms – Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Ability to come up with creative original copy as well as condense inputs that come from downtrace orgs or senior leaders
- Experience using digital asset management tools or social media monitoring tools such as Sprinklr or Google Analytics
- Experience developing and maintaining long-term social media campaigns for large, global organizations; keeping content relevant and "fresh."
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Understanding of how to build and maintain an overarching social media strategy that is informed by a broader digital media strategy
- Experience working with Photoshop & Premiere
- Experience taking photos using a mobile device in case events cannot be supported by AFC photographers
- Knowledge of DOD Public Affairs and AP style regulations & procedures
- Willingness to learn and execute upon U.S. Army digital media guidelines and policies
- Previous knowledge of the military service branches – specifically the U.S. Army and supporting commands to include Army Futures Command
