Assistant Controller / Tax Accountant

IBT Group is hiring an Assistant Controller / Tax Accountant.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparing and consolidating financial statements
• Preparing and/or assisting with ad hoc reports.
• Preparing treasury reports
• Assisting in the preparation of annual budget
• Assisting in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
• Analyzing and reporting cost variances
• Maintaining internal controls and procedures
• Training and supervising accounting staff
• Completing all corporate, state and local tax returns
• Researching tax laws and regulations
• Providing assistance during tax audits
• Responding to notices from tax authorities

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferably a master’s in taxation.
• CPA preferred.
• High-level of proficiency with MS Excel and Power PointPower
• BI proficiency is preferred.
• Experience with Consolidation Software and Tax software (CCH Prosystem, Ultratax, etc.)
• Strong analytical, technological, communication, organizational and research skills.
• Bilingual is required to speak, read, and write fluently in English and Spanish

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
