Job Title : Business Development Associate

Overview : International Business and Technical Consultants, Inc. (IBTCI), a US-based international development consulting company, is seeking a Business Development Associate with experience to work in our Vienna, VA home office.

This full-time position starts immediately. IBTCI is seeking a skilled professional who has previous experience in a similar role.

This position is based in IBTCIs home office located in Vienna, VA (currently in Hybrid mode, going to office twice a week).

Responsibilities :

Essential Duties / Tasks and Responsibilities :

  • Conduct market research to identify and evaluate specific business opportunities and market trends.
  • Maintain business development trackers and potential procurements across IBTCI Practices.
  • Administration of contact and resume databases.
  • Coordinate and prepare expressions of interest.
  • Support recruitment of staff and consultants for on-going projects and bids.
  • Coordinate proposal efforts, including recruitment, partnering, non-technical writing and production.
  • Support the development of materials for our corporate website, and develop and update marketing materials as needed.
  • Assist with company / staff membership, workshop and conference attendance.
  • Coordinate with cost proposal team to prepare cost proposals.
  • Draft non-technical sections on proposals.
  • Liaise with partner organizations on business development related activities.
  • Coordinate and support business development meetings.
  • Format CVs, bios, and past performance information for proposals, marketing materials and website.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements :

  • At least one year of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent writing, research and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
  • Proven ability to function as part of and to contribute to a team effort required.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills required.
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint required.
  • Oral and written fluency in English required, fluency in another language preferred.

Education :

Bachelors Degree in International Affairs, Economics, Business / Business Administration, English or related field.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Previous international development business development experience.
  • Previous experience with USAID, USDoS, and / or MCC preferred.
  • Knowledge in one or more of IBTCIs service areas.
  • Working level proficiency in Spanish, French or Arabic.

Working Environment : Work is typically performed in an office environment. Currently the company is allowing for Hybrid work in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia (DMV) area.

This can be updated by the company.

Physical Requirements : This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.

Supervisory Responsibility : This positio n does not have supervisory responsib ilities.

Travel : International travel may be required and may include travel to fragile and / or conflict-prone zones.

Work Authorization : Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
