What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President, Finance position at IBX LLC?
The Vice President Finance reports to the CFO and is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of IBX and related entities. Functional responsibilities include management of accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, investments and insurance.
This position requires the ability to manage other professionals, operate with a high level of professionalism and trust, detail, and confidentiality.
Primary Responsibilities- for IBX and affiliates under the IBX umbrella:
· Ensure that books of account are accurate and up to date
· Manage preparation of monthly financial reports
· Ensure that billings are accurate and issued in a timely manner
· Oversee collection and reporting for accounts receivable
· Ensure that accounts payable are properly approved, classified and paid on time.
· Ensure that annual budgets are prepared and monitored
· Provide financial planning and analysis for all entities
· Oversee Monthly Financial Reviews with CFO and senior management
· Ensure that treasury activities are carried out with security, management approval and that assets are properly safeguarded
· Maintain the proper levels of insurance
· Ensure that taxes are calculated and paid when due. Perform planning for such taxes and work with outside firms to ensure same.
· Ensure that all investments are accounted for and reported on each month
· Ensure that facility operations are performed in a professional manner
· Other projects/duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· 20 years of progressive financial management experience
· Experience in oversight of core accounting, finance, treasury and insurance matters
· Expert proficiency with Deltek CostPoint strongly preferred
· Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with other Microsoft Office products
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Exceptional organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail
· Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround
· Ability to multitask and adjust focus as requirements change
Education Requirements:
· BS in Finance, Accounting or related area
