What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analytics Specialist position at ICF?
A successful candidate will provide technical expertise in analyzing client business needs and leveraging data analytics tools to provide reporting and dashboard visualizations. The candidate will also retrieve and analyze data to develop actionable intelligence to help internal clients make strategic decisions.
This is a position within the Corporate IT team. It requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Prior collaboration / partnership building experience with business customers is preferred.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$63,511.00 - $107,968.00
Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
This is a position within the Corporate IT team. It requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Prior collaboration / partnership building experience with business customers is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with internal customers on analytics solutions by validating key requirements and ensuring timely delivery.
- Develop and maintain financial/operational production reports that enable business decision making using PowerBI.
- Work with Data Architects to develop analytical measures and KPIs.
- Perform ongoing data quality assessments, identify discrepancies, inconsistencies and resolve them.
- Continually improve the end-to-end process of data collection, transformation, analysis, and reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, scientific, engineering, or data science field or related field or one year of additional related experience for one year of education.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with PowerBI or equivalent modern analytics tools (IBM, SAP, Google, etc.)
- Minimum of two years’ experience working with SQL, data extraction, data transformation, and data modeling.
- Strong understanding of client/server and web-based application environments
- Data integration experience with business systems such as Costpoint, Workday, Dynamics, and Maconomy.
- Working knowledge of how to query and extract data from database technologies such as: Oracle and MS SQL.
- Experience with scripting using PowerShell or Python.
- Professional Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Work well independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to interpret complex data sets (quantitative and qualitative) into insights that lead to effective visual dashboard reporting.
- Ability to work with highly sensitive information and preserve the confidentiality of the information.
- Detail oriented and capable of identifying and resolving data quality issues.
- Results oriented and delivered solutions on tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with ability to work efficiently with minimal direction or guidance.
