We’re currently hiring for a UX/UI Designer to support federal and commercial clients.
As a UX/UI Designer, you will:
- Conduct research via competitive/comparative analysis, heuristic reviews, user interviews, or other research techniques appropriate for the project
- Assist facilitation or organization of workshops with users, stakeholders or internal team members, such as design studios or brainstorming sessions
- Build documentation as appropriate for the project to help colleagues understand or build upon the design. Examples may be storyboards, wireframes, mockups or similar artifacts
- Be confident in working independently as a designer, but collaboratively as part of a larger project team
- Be comfortable sharing ideas, concepts, and designs with clients and/or other team members
- Create documentation of your designs and assist developers in implementing your designs
- Assist or facilitate usability testing with designs and incorporate feedback into new iterations of the design
- Use your creativity to help find solutions for the unique problems the user or customer may have
- Be eager to learn from your colleagues and be an active contributor to the team’s collective knowledge
As a UX/UI Designer , you will have:
- 2 years of experience in a UX design or similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, computer science, psychology, or a related field
- Demonstrated resiliency and experience in client-facing roles requiring tactful communications in fast-moving environments
- Ability to collaborate with teams in an agile setting and work across many workstreams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a focus on attention to detail to produce client-ready reports and presentations
- Talent for anticipating obstacles and risk in projects and proactively seeking solutions to mitigate them
- A self-starter who is comfortable with a variety of UX skills, and perhaps considered a generalist in the field
- Candidates must be willing to complete the e-QIP and undergo a standard federal government background check for this role. Employment is contingent on fitness for the position.
