What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Logistics, Procurement position at ICL Group?
As the Head of Logistics, Procurement, you will lead the logistics & Packaging Category and to generate improvements on the basis of total cost of ownership in goods and services procured. You will have intensive and regular contact with our internal and external business partners. You will report to the, VP Global Supply Chain & Logistics Procurement.

I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?
- Responsible for the procurement activities for the following segments: transportation, warehousing, packaging and logistics services.
- Responsible for procurement KPIs, for representing Brazil for the Logistics Procurement subjects in international and local forums.
- Responsible for the projects management such as , improvement projects, synergy, training, team building and development of the teams.
- Responsible for developing and implementing regional logistics sourcing strategies and supplier relationships within the Ocean and Land Transportation sub-category.
- Provide greater value in cost, speed, delivery, responsiveness and quality of services offered in the
- Execute appropriate risk management strategies to assure appropriate logistics services are in place.
- Responsible for identifying cost saving programs in close cooperation with Supply Chain, Logistics and Global Transportation SMEs in ICL.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure compliance with relevant ICL guidelines and policies.
- Negotiate and close framework-agreements of significant Regional contracts within the sub-category.
- Assess all relevant contracts, identify potential cost reductions and assign to regional/local management responsibility.
- Perform best-in-class supplier evaluation & negotiation processes via analysis of supply & demand trends.
- Continuously evaluate and monitor market conditions, provide recommendations to the Global Logistics Category and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, master’s degree is a plus.
- Understanding of supply markets and price cyclicality in markets.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field – Master’s degree is a plus.
- Extensive background in land and ocean logistics sourcing and management or other equivalent supply chain experience.
- At least 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with specificities of land and ocean procurement.
- Understanding of contracting services markets.
- Demonstrable track record of success in managing complex, cross-functional activities and developing/executing key procurement processes.
- Excellent command of English is required. Additional language skills are desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal, business acumen, communication, organizational and presentation skills.
