The Opportunity: HR Business Partner, Family Office Services
The HR Business Partner is a critical member of the Relationship Management Team as well as the Family Office HR Team, which provides outsourced HR and payroll services to high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients. Responsible for the full employee life-cycle for assigned client’s household and professional staff, from onboarding (e.g., new hire paperwork, payroll, 401(k), benefits open enrollment) through offboarding (exit interviews, COBRA, severance, etc.).
Principal Responsibilities:
• Drive and coordinate the recruiting life-cycle for client including advertising, screening, interviewing, conducting background checks, references and drafting offer letters.
• Work in collaboration with Benefits team to communicate and manage open enrollment and benefit changes to client staff.
• Responsible for administration and processing of all leaves of absence requests, and disability.
• Respond to payroll, benefits, 401(k) and employee policy inquiries from employees and coordinate with Payroll and Benefits team as needed.
• Facilitate and process annual performance evaluations and compensation adjustments per client request.
• Own compensation data and partner with Payroll, providing timely updates and reviewing for accuracy.
• Partner with the payroll department to assist with payroll review and ensure client staff is paid correctly and on time.
• Maintain employee records and reconcile/validate data entry to ensure data integrity and support routine reporting requests. This includes running monthly reports and metrics.
• Ensure client is compliant with federal and local HR laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Consulting and coaching with clients regarding employee labor relations issues.
• Manage full offboarding process for departing employees, including drafting separation agreements, preparing offboarding paperwork, conducting exit interviews and/or separation conversations, and partnership with payroll for final paycheck
• Manage worker’s compensation claims in partnership with insurance broker
• Serve as a liaison between client relationship management teams, external counsel and other internal teams, managing multiple lines of communication and ensuring the client receives tailored, fully-vetted advice on HR matters.
• Partner with the client relationship management team to develop a thorough understanding of client expectations and preferences in order to maintain excellent HR service delivery.

• Demonstrate understanding of Client needs and trends to help support their household operations and/or drive their business forward.
Qualifications:
• 7 years of HR Business Partner experience with general knowledge of payroll and benefits
• Deep knowledge of regulatory laws, rules and standards at the local/city, state and federal levels
• Knowledgeable in compensation strategies, employee relations, performance management, and leaves
• Superior communication skills, unquestioned integrity, and the experience, confidence and presence to work directly with clients to effectively handle interpersonal relationships and sensitive HR issues
• Highly motivated, self-driven, solution and detail oriented
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency/follow through
• Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills
• Strong desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
• Bachelor’s degree and a solid academic background required
• Ability to assess client needs and partner with client management team to be a strategic partner
• Be an advisor for all HR needs
• Experience in an HR-related position working with household staff (preferred but not required)
Location: San Francisco, CA
Compensation Range: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role, together with other compensation being offered such as a discretionary bonus, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $130,000-$145,000 together with a discretionary bonus, health insurance, paid time off, 401k participation with a company matching program, wellness stipend, personal education allowance as well as a commuter benefits program.
