Description:
Ideal candidate will have prior experience with drug safety and data analysis.
Clinical trial experience is a plus.
Intermediate excel experience (filter, sorting, pivot tables).
The contract Global Safety Scientist supports the Global Safety Officer (GSO) in the conduct of quality safety assessment and risk management processes and activities for an assigned set of products through the product's lifecycle.
Applicable tasks may vary by product assigned.
The GSS is responsible for the conduct of safety monitoring and accountable for executing product related safety deliverables for assigned products.
Basic Qualifications
0 Years w/ Relevant PhD OR equivalent (where applicable) 2 Years w/ Relevant MS OR equivalent 4 Years w/ Relevant BS OR equivalent Advanced and proficient understanding and use of technical principles, theories, and concepts to perform expansive range of work in a role.
Basic knowledge of related and adjacent disciplinary areas.
Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:
Prior pharmacovigilance (safety) experience
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and safety databases
Critical thinking and analytical skills
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Monitoring safety data for assigned product(s)
Working with colleagues on clinical study teams
Creating slides of safety cases
Review or author safety documents as needed
Red Flags:
No prior pharmacovigilance (safety) experience.
Intermediate Excel experience would be very helpful in this position (filter, sorting, pivot tables.) and experience with working larger data sets.
