Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location: Wilmington, NC
Duration: 13 Weeks
Description:
Will Cert for Chemo
Required skills / Certs / Exp:
Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
Skills: Administer chemo. Experience in an inpatient setting is required
Certs: Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start; required to obtain prior to start.
Preferred skills / Certs / Exp:
CPI. Charge nurse experience.
Job details:
will work with oncology as well as medical surgical patients
Target Ratios: 1:6-7
Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team.
Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster.
Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed
Patient Diagnoses:
High Acuity Adults and Geriatrics.
Special Procedures / Unit details:
Daily Census 42.
General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population.
Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection.
DKA - Insulin drip, AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips.
Unit Systems (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
