Benefits Administrator
Overview
ID.me is looking for a Benefits Administrator to direct and plan the day-to-day operations of ID.me’s various benefit and wellness programs, including medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, FSA, GTL, 401k, critical illness and accident insurance programs. This person will be the key point of contact between our benefits brokers, benefits providers, Payroll, Finance, and our employee base, providing excellent customer service and a fantastic employee experience. The Benefits Administrator will report to the Manager of Total Rewards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily benefits processing, including, but not limited to, enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, 401k deferral changes, and more
- Administrate our benefits programs at all points in the employee life cycle, including onboarding, qualifying life events, and off-boarding
- Manage UKG carrier file feeds
- Assist employees with benefits-related questions and requirements
- Update and maintain employee benefits records, maintain group benefits databases, and update employee payroll records in our HRIS system as needed
- Facilitate weekly and monthly benefits invoice reconciliations
- In partnership with our benefit partners, complete federal and state specific reporting requirements and ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, including timely and accurate reporting as needed
- Conduct market and cost analysis in partnership with our Benefits Broker to ensure ID.me maintains a competitive benefits program
- Lead our annual Open Enrollment process (system configuration, testing, employee communication, etc.)
Qualifications
- 4-5 years of experience in benefits administration or a similar position, preferably in a high-growth, multi-state organization
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience creating and implementing benefits programs and processes in high-growth environments
- A proven ability to collect and analyze data, report on trends, and develop action plans to fully resolve any issues discovered
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Advanced knowledge of Section 125, ERISA, and benefit compliance
- Experience with UKG HRIS is strongly preferred
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to work with sensitive data and maintain strict confidentiality
