The Plant Operations team at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa, ID is looking to hire an Industrial Controls Technician! About this Position: The Industrial Controls Technician, under limited supervision, is responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of automation and controls systems. They frequently conduct detailed troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning and general servicing of building automation system. With a high level of technical competence, mentors other technicians and contractors on building automation activities. Works with equipment vendors to coordinate communication protocols, encryption and database requirements for integration to their systems. Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Associates degree plus 2 years related experience or 4 years related experience in lieu of Associates degree. Must have a valid driver’s license. Essential Functions: Observes functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems, and the need for service, repair and/or replacement of electrical, electronic and mechanical components. Interpret system sequences and specifications and write program logic. Analyzes and interprets data from solid-state motor drives and controllers scope meters and other troubleshooting equipment. Adjusts, calibrates and aligns circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance. Assists with strategic planning to ensure the system is upgraded and/or replaced as needed. May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate group. Handles moderately complex issues using knowledge of procedures and policies. Refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter. Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned.
