Idaho Family Policy Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan ministry that advances the lordship of Christ in the public square through engaging the church, promoting God-honoring public policy, and training statesmen.
Director of Church Engagement
Under the supervision of the president or operations director, the director of church engagement helps lead the organization’s outreach efforts to Christian pastors and laypeople.
This role requires someone who can build relationships with local churches and pastors, effectively communicate and teach on our key issues, and build awareness of resources and programs that IFPC offers to churches and laypeople.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience serving in churches, either as a pastor or staff
- Theological training, such as Bible college or advanced seminary education
- Possesses awareness of denominational distinctives and capable of navigating relationships with Christians from a wide range of theological traditions
- Familiarity with various churches and Christian communities across the state
- Proven development skills
Responsibilities:
- Prayer Coalition and Pastor’s Network (40%)
o Develop prayer coalition and recruit prayer members from churches across the state
o Provide trainings and regular video/phone updates for prayer coalition members
o Support church liaisons with resources for increasing church engagement
o Organize and lead regular pastors’ briefings and prayer coalition events
- Church Engagement (30%)
o Pursue and maintain relationships with churches and pastors throughout the state
o Increase awareness of IFPC programs with the goal of greater church participation
o Disseminate IFPC updates and action alerts with goal of greater church awareness and participation
o Distribute biblical worldview materials and resources, including non-partisan voters guides, to churches
o Recruit host churches and volunteers for Biblical Activism Bootcamp trainings, rallies, and other events
- Church Education (20%)
o Speak at Biblical Activism Bootcamps and other organizational events o Help plan and execute Biblical Activism Bootcamp events at local churches o Seek opportunities to speak at church services, church events, bible studies, and small groups o Draft content for emails, video, sermons, studies, or other resources
o Assist with the development and creation of a small group curriculum on biblical worldview and cultural engagement
- Development (10%)
o Increase the number of churches that financially partner with IFPC o Nurture relationships with donors/supporters involved with church engagement programs
o Follow-up with donors and supporters through phone calls, writing thank you cards, and event invites
