Be part of Idaho’s Solution
Idaho Forest Products Commission’s mission is to provide programs that result in an informed public that understands and supports balanced, responsible management of Idaho’s economically vital public and private forests. We provide statewide communications, educational programs and informational materials to educate audiences such as decision makers, educators and students, as well as the general public about forest management. We connect Idahoans to trees and forests and the clean water, habitat for wildlife, recreational access and wood products they provide. Healthy, managed forests equate to a healthy Idaho. The manage, harvest, plant, and repeat cycle of working forests is a climate solution.
The Education and Outreach Coordinator is critical to this mission. Because Idahoans depend so profoundly on our forests, being knowledgeable about them is crucial, especially for youth. We help students understand not only how forests work, but also how we are connected ecologically, economically and socially to our forests. At the same time, students learn about outstanding forest careers that pay well, are high tech and STEM-focused. Idaho's future depends on it!
