Summary*
This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of field office support functions including, but not limited to, the following: loading, weighing, and ticketing trucks, preparing daily load summaries, managing inventory, accepting payment, basic typing and word processing, filing, answering calls, light bookkeeping, courier duties, customer relations, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate equipment (loader, scale, etc) safely and efficiently.
- Keep time and material records.
- Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
- Knowledge of weight requirements and loading restrictions.
- Excellent customer service and sales skills.
- Strict adherence to company policy regarding inventory and payment collection.
- Travel to and from various work locations.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure efficient business operation.

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Speak and articulate clear verbal communication through various media – email, two-way radio, face-to-face, etc.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of general computer operation; Inventory and Order processing systems; knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid driver’s license required.
