The assisting Physical Tech will escort the patient to the treatment area and carry out their patient’s plan of care under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. After each visit, the tech helps with prepare the treatment room for the next group of patients or any administrative tasks that may need to be completed.
We will train you to instruct and assist patients with exercises and performed therapeutic activities. You will also learn to scribe during the evaluations, so you keep your medical terminology skills sharp!
Duties:
- Assisting the Physical Therapist under direct supervision
- Prepare the rehabilitation gym for therapy treatments
- Greeting and escorting patients to therapy treatment area
- Clean/maintain gym; disinfect equipment and tables after use
- Complete laundry tasks for the department, ensuring clean linens are available at all times
- Perform administrative duties, such as making phone calls on behalf of the department
- Complete various other administrative tasks to assist Therapists and other staff members
Required: Someone interested in the medical field and interested in applying to graduate school
Preferred: Background in exercise science
