Position Overview
Idea Evolver is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineering Manager to join our Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading and managing a team of developers, as well as a deep understanding of software development methodologies to oversee the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions and drive continuous improvement in our processes. In this role, the Software Engineering Manager will include the following responsibilities:
Manage a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management to drive individual and team success.
Lead the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Allocate resources effectively, assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and expertise.
Provide technical leadership and support to the development team, promoting best practices, code quality, and efficient development processes.
Drive continuous improvement in software development practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing, teamwork, and professional growth within the team.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and software engineering best practices, and apply relevant insights to enhance team performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components with other systems and platforms.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required
10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 in a management capacity
Proven track record of success in leading and managing a software development team
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
