Language Proficiency Specialist
Role Mission : The LPAC Specialist is responsible for overseeing the compliance and implantation of the LPAC process and procedures, auditing campuses for proper English Learner documentation utilizing Ellevation, overseeing and managing district to receiving 100% of new English Learner records.
Language for national roles : This is a full-time position based in Texaswith preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland / Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.
Travel Expectations :
Travel Expectation - up to 30% at the busiest times of the year,
What You’ll Do Accountabilities :
Emergent Bilingual Compliance 40%Manage through influence EL campus points and campus leaders to reach 100% on deliverable deadlines in accordance with Ellevation audits.
Provide LPAC compliance guidance to regional points, campus administrators, and EB / EL Points throughout the LPAC process and monitor completion of LPACs and all required documentation according to communicated deadlines.
Develop and conduct professional development sessions, including sessions on EB / EL compliance (LPAC cycle, monthly webinars, identification and assessment of EL’s, for leaders and campus point people.
Collaborate with English Learner Managers to address compliance needs specific to Emergent Bilingual students and support implementation of Bilingual / ESL state / district assessment and data collection programs.
Collaborate with directors and campus principals in developing and supervising EB / EL compliance across the state of Texas.
Keep informed of and comply with federal and state regulations and policies.Prepare and / or contribute to the preparation of reports, proposals, presentations, and responses on functional or organizational data in relation to Ellevation audits.
Establish a system to track attendance and follow-up on all required training.Create and update progress to goal reports for all major EB workflows / deliverables.
Field Support 20%Provide in field support to campus EB points and / or campus leaders to ensure they are on track to meet 100% of compliance deadlinesSupports campuses through frequent communication and visits in ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and district policies for Emergent BilingualsServe as a resource to national, regional, and campus leaders.
Act with sensitivity, empathy, and diplomacy as warranted, without shying away from honest communication with campus leaders and EL point people.
Ellevation 20%Maintains accuracy in Ellevation processes, such as data input, program updates, and communication to stakeholders.
Establish a system to track Ellevation Audits on all required compliance deadlines.Partner with Director of English Learner Programs to manage the back-end workflows in EllevationPartner with Director of English Learner Programs to create, update, and maintain all Ellevation LPAC workflow dashboardsCreate, update, and maintain required LPAC meetings in Ellevation Meeting CenterLead professional development on Ellevation systems and procedures on a routine basis for EB points.
Program Implementation 20%Collaborate with Director of English Learner Programs, English Language Learner Managers, Regional Intervention Coaches, Assessment Director, and Assessment Managers, campus leaders and EB / EL points to conduct TELPAS audits.
Coordinate and interact with EL point people as needed on a diverse range of strategic, operational, and organizational matters.
Conduct extensive surveys to determine needs at specific levels of education district wide.Inform Director of English Learner Programs of timely and relevant information, including diverse perspectives, during deliberation and decision-making.
Communicate with a variety of audiences, primarily internal, and with a variety of contexts, including but not limited to functional progress toward goals, organizational priorities, and functional scopes of work that are in turnaround or other improvement modes.
Engage web-based tools for communication, dissemination of information and productivity.

Required experience :
Required Education & Experience : Some college with a minimum of 4 years EL / LPAC experience.
Required Technology MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) Ellevation
Preferred experience :
- Preferred Education & Experience : Bachelor’s degree with 2 to 4 years EL / LPAC experience
Physical Requirements :
Ability to sit and stand in front of a computer for extended periods of time.

Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between 58,000 to 67,000 commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity.
This role is also eligible forperformance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
