Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, prescribing medications and treatments as necessary.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work, imaging, and electrocardiograms.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding health conditions, preventive care, and treatment options.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with best practices through continuous professional development.
• Adhere to all relevant medical laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification and licensure in the state of Texas.
• Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a primary care or specialty setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
