What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Associate (Driver) position at IDEXX?
As a Supply Chain Associate in IDEXX’s Memphis Distribution Center, you will work in our warehouse to pick, pack, load, and ship products to national customers and distribution centers. In this role, you will also be responsible for driving a truck between our offsite and domestic and international warehouses, transporting product between the locations. You will ensure accuracy of documentation and shipments, troubleshoot and resolve issues as required while maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse and environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
May be responsible for any or all of the following:
- Driving a truck that will transfer product between multiple IDEXX buildings including our offsite, our international building and domestic buildings
- Picks, packs, loads and ships products to national and international customers and distribution centers
- Prepares documentation and products, ensures accuracy of documentation and shipments, and troubleshoots and resolves issues as required
- Assists with or coordinates international shipping ; reviews, reconciles and approves all incoming international vendor bills
- Maintains a clean, orderly and safe warehouse and environment
- Investigates and resolves inventory inaccuracies and provides root cause analysis and recommendations for corrective actions
- Supports inventory processes, solutions and strategies for the continuous improvement of inventory accuracy and order fulfillment quality; includes cycle counts, data entry, tracking, reconciling, documenting and reporting
- Moves and stores equipment, raw materials and inventory for internal and external customers
- Supports instrument repair process including daily and routine shipping and receiving; tracks incoming and repaired materials, assuring system and operational readiness for the repair of instruments
- Administers instrument repair and field replacement programs, coordinates all failure analysis and reports, issues periodic reports on outstanding deliveries for inbound and outbound units, and coordinates all field returns, worldwide
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Associates degree or equivalent preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Valid driver's license to operate a box truck (does not require a Commercial Driver's License)
- Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Background check
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight time constraints
- Ability to effectively function in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good computer skills and knowledge including SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Able to follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable ISO regulations
- Able to properly lift up to 70 pounds; ability to move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- For distribution and material handling work: Certificate to operate a forklift may be required; certificate to work with hazardous materials may be required; knowledge of export documentation and international traffic may be required; previous experience with dangerous goods is preferred; knowledge of customs rules, regulations and export documentation preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Warehouse-type environment
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Normal warehouse environment where protective clothing may be required
- Moderate to high noise level
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and can be exposed to risk of electrical shock.
