ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst. at IDIQ, you will be responsible for ensuring all products and services meet the company standards of quality through the creation and execution of test cases, test runs, and test plans and providing detailed defect and testing reports at each step of the software development life cycle. This individual must also possess skills to build automation and automation framework. o Create and review automated test cases utilizing Testproject.io o Deliver quality software products through a combination of black-box and manual testing through all phases of the software development life cycle · Build testing (functional release through release candidate) · Bug fix verification · Regression testing · Go-live and deployment checklists o Work with various stakeholders to maintain and execute web quality assurance testing procedures o Work with engineering team to plan and manage agile software development sprints. o Maintain and execute test plans and test cases for each release cycle o Investigate issues reported by clients and other departments o Proofread print media and web copy for spelling and grammar errors as needed o Perform special projects and duties as needed Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years experience building automated testing
- 5 years of hands on experience in software or web testing and quality assurance
- Write and execute SQL queries and applying them to testing strategy
- API test both manual and automated
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Ability to acquire and apply new technical and industry knowledge quickly
- Ability to analyze requirements and interview stakeholders to create test plans
- Proven communication skills both oral and written
- Demonstrated track record of effective problem-solving required
- Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity
- Experience working as part of a distributed team
- Experience or knowledge of QA in an agile environment
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Previous ability in feature development
- Experience with testproject.io
- Review XML / JSON documents
POSITION DETAILS:
This is an exempt position (40 hours /week) and is bonus eligible.
