Position Overview For The Solar Designer
- Lead utility design team to develop utility-scale solar energy projects.
- Collaborate with team members to produce site plans, engineering & construction drawings, and details for Utility Scale Solar PV systems.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of solar engineering standards and processes, while staying up to date on industry standards and policies.
- Utilize several drafting and design software to render 2D and 3D models including but not limited to: AutoDesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other CADD programs.
- Experience designing and drafting both 2D and 3D models using Autodesk Civil 3D or AutoCAD, or other CADD software.
- Civil design & site layout experience using Autodesk Civil 3D or Bentley MicroStation
- Associate's degree or certificate in Engineering Design, Drafting, or similar focus preferred with eight or more years of relevant professional experience preferred.
