General Summary
The Cycle Counter Clerk is responsible for tracking inventory of various materials; finding root cause for inventory discrepancies and accurately recording inventory counts in the system.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under direct supervision.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
· Counts and tracks physical inventory
· Maintains accurate records of counts and frequency of counts
· Communicates any variances or inventory discrepancies to management
· Records inventory counts in the accounting system
· Investigates any inventory discrepancies and documents any corrections
· Ensures accuracy of information in the system and compliance with internal controls
· Prepares various reports and correspondence as required.
· Performs other duties as required.

Knowledge
· High school diploma
· Minimum one year of experience in inventory control or related area.
· Working knowledge of inventory internal controls, and company procedures
· Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
· Basic knowledge on lumber math, lumber grades and species.
· Preferred understanding on company policies, practices and procedures.
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
Skills and abilities
· Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English; ability read and write English
· Ability to follow written instructions and directions
· Ability to identify products based on size, class, grade, species, etc.
· Ability to verbalize and/or document areas of deficiency with regard to inventory control policies and procedures
· Ability to collect all data relative to a problematic situation and know specifically what needs to be done to correct it
· Ability to plan, and organize the work, determine priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure and stress.
· Ability to use basic and lumber math
· Abiltiy to use a computer, calculator, and telephone.
· Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail
· Ability to work under immediate supervision
· Ability to pass a drug test
· Ability to work hours mandated by management

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
