- Preferred experience in healthcare customer service
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Knowledge of reimbursement procedures
- Good physical and mental health
- Familiarity with medical terminology
Reporting:
The Admissions Assistant reports to the Administrator.
Job Duties:
- Develop and execute facility marketing plans
- Liaise between facility and hospital discharge planners
- Establish relationships to address community healthcare needs
- Manage admission paperwork and processes
- Lead facility admission and census meetings
- Maintain marketing materials and information packets
- Prepare and submit reports as required
- Handle inquiries and screen potential admissions
- Maintain relationships with referral sources
- Manage post-admission public relations
- Perform additional tasks delegated by the Administrator
- Ensure timely completion and submission of admission documents
- Cover for Admissions and Reception staff as needed
- Maintain COVID-19 logs and notifications for compliance.
