Description:

This is an opportunity to join the IERUS team as an X-Lab Software Engineer supporting a large Missile Defense Agency program.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and be responsible for, but not limited to; planning, conducting, and coordinating software development activities; designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions utilizing data processing equipment; applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle; applying knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software; correcting program errors, preparing operating instructions, compiling documentation of program development, and analyzing system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls; and ensuring software standards are met.

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. in an engineering discipline; Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering and 5 years’ experience.
• Security CE certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification;
• Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance.
• Must have strong experience with Java or C software development.
• Possess an understanding of software development processes and principles and be able to communicate the desired capabilities to developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and system users.
• Experience with both Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Be familiar with Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with software testing or software integration.
• Ability to refactor code for reusability, readability, and maintainability in an object-oriented codebase.
• Experience in application deployment, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Eclipse IDE, Maven, and Git.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and design challenges that require novel solutions, fast-paced activities, and tight deadlines.

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

The proposed salary range for this position is $77.9k - $128.7k. Salaries are commensurate with candidate experience and qualifications within the experience bandwidth, as well as market and business considerations.
