Your primary responsibilities will involve reporting auto accidents to insurance companies, handling subrogation of insurance claims, and tracking relevant information for the Department of Transportation.

Specific Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting Auto Accidents: Promptly report all accidents involving fleet vehicles to the respective insurance companies. Gather essential information, such as incident details, involved parties, and any relevant documentation required for claim processing.
  • Insurance Claim Subrogation: Facilitate the subrogation process by liaising with insurance providers and advocating for the company's interests. Ensure all necessary documentation and evidence are provided to support subrogation claims.
  • Claim Documentation and Management: Maintain a comprehensive and organized system for managing accident claims. This includes accurately recording incident details, tracking claim progress, and updating relevant parties on the status of each claim.
  • Department of Transportation Compliance: Collaborate with the Department of Transportation to ensure compliance with reporting and tracking requirements. Provide necessary information, such as accident data, vehicle maintenance records, and any other requested documentation, in a timely manner.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with fleet drivers, insurance representatives, legal professionals, and other internal stakeholders to gather information, address inquiries, and resolve any issues related to accident claims.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze accident data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance safety protocols within the fleet. Prepare regular reports summarizing accident statistics, trends, and recommendations for management review.
  • Policy and Procedure Adherence: Stay updated with industry regulations, insurance policies, and best practices related to accident claims management. Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures while continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement.
  • Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in claims management, preferably in the automotive or transportation industry is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance principles, subrogation processes, and accident claim procedures.
  • Familiarity with Department of Transportation regulations and reporting requirements is preferred but not mandatory..
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate claim records.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in data analysis and report generation using relevant software tools.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple claims simultaneously.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset to identify and address potential issues promptly.
  • Knowledge of fleet management systems and software is a plus.
