Job Description Responsible for the daily setup and operation of Press Brake Machine and assisting other operators on key work or machines as required.
Essential Functions Set up and operate press brake for established work. Load, install and correctly set up the tools required.
Optimize process to achieve maximum efficiency. Clock in and out of operations according to sequence number start date of the work order.
Check parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications using proper gauges. Read all notes on travelers and prints prior to running parts.
Fill out job Traveler, time sheets, Inspection Documents and any other paperwork associated with the part. Follows all safety policies and procedures.
Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner. Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled with a positive attitude.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Non-Essential Duties Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.
Assists in formulating departmental strategic plan. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must own tools for daily tasks (i.
Must have basic math skills. Must be able to take verbal and written instructions. Demonstrate knowledge of machine programming Ability to work well in a fast pace work environment to meet team expectations.
Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed. Working Conditions Manufacturing environment; may be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts, and exotic materials.
Equipment / Machinery Used Calipers, debur tools, hand grinders, pallet jack, forklift, and computer. Physical Requirements Lifting to 50lbs, pushing, pulling, climbing, and balancing frequent stooping, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time, fine finger dexterity, vision protection and other appropriate protective clothing.
DRESS CODE : NOT Approved : No Shorts. Sleeveless tops, halter tops or tank tops. Sweatpants / Leggings / Athletic wear.
Ripped, frayed, stained or messy Approved dress code : T-shirts (no graphics). Polo Shirts. Navy, Black or Work Jeans (must be long pants in ALL areas) Company logo wear.
SteelToe Boot or Shoe (REQUIRED). . Department Hours are subject to change based on customer demands! Employees in this department should be prepared as hours change and can do so by request of the plant manager due to customer demands .
General Hours 1 st shift (8 hours) 7am 3 : 30pm, (10 hours) 7am 5 : 30pm General Hours 2 nd shift (8 hours 3 : 30pm 12am, (10 hours) 5 : 30pm 4am (1 / 5 / 2021) Effective Immediately : ALL PLANTS WILL BE ON THE BREAK SAME SCHEDULE 1 st Shift : 10-minute break @ 9 : 00 am, 30-minute Lunch break @ 12 : 00 pm 2 nd Shift : 10 minute break @ 5 : 30, 30 minute break @830 We will no longer have a 10-minute break at any plants in the afternoon.
NO ONE IS TO GO TO THEIR CARS ON BREAK OR LUNCH, NO ONE IS TO LEAVE THEIR BUILDING DURING LUNCH Overtime and weekends are required when requested by our department manager, plant manager, due to customer demand.
