What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Financial Analyst position at IFAS LLC?
Essential Job Functions:
The Intermediate Financial Analyst will support the advisory team in providing a blend of financial management related advisory support services to assist the DOJ FBI execute the initiation, tracking and entry of reimbursable agreements into the financial system. Required knowledge and duties could include:
- Provide support based on understanding and knowledge around the establishment, billing, and collections of Intra-government reimbursable agreements including the requirements around the Treasury’s G-Invoicing platform.
- Provide support based on understanding and knowledge around the preparation and reconciliation of the various agency required reporting requirements utilizing Microsoft Power Apps and/or Microsoft Excel to reconcile and present agency Trial Balance and General Ledger data.
- Provide assistance to FBI personnel in developing/updating Statement of Policies and Standard Operating Procedures related to the FBI’s financial management processes as deemed necessary.
- Support the implementation of new guidance on financial operations as required.
- Apply a variety of analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills and techniques.
- Support a variety of communications and customer interactions both through email and via phone working with internal and external stakeholders to support the management of interagency reimbursable agreements.
- Conduct research to investigate client problems and work collaboratively with the team to formulate and recommend solutions.
- Produce high-impact, high-quality work products, reports, and other deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with two (2) years or more of experience. Educational requirements may be waived if the candidate has five (5) or more years of experience
- Experience calculating complex figures and performing financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
- Experience analyzing and applying problem solving methods to complex problems, draw conclusions, make recommendations, and provide solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Preferred experience using Momentum based Financial Systems especially DOJ's UFMS.
- Requires at a minimum Active Interim Top-Secret Security Clearance
