POSITION SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is accountable for identifying, sourcing, and hiring key talent for an insurance/financial services organization. This role is responsible for the development and execution of competitive market recruitment strategies and full-cycle recruiting efforts to hire middle/senior management, revenue-driving and hard to fill/high expertise positions.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and implement the overall hiring strategy of the organization to ensure our teams consist of a diverse set of qualified individuals
- Ensure the immediate staffing needs of the company are being met, with a long-term talent strategy in mind
- Create, document, and implement end-to-end candidate hiring processes to ensure a positive experience for candidates, hiring teams, and other internal customers
- Form effective working partnerships with hiring managers to optimize the hiring strategy
- Accurate staffing needs and selection criteria
- Applicant resume reviews
- Attendance at relevant career fair and recruitment events
- Clear candidate/interviewer expectations
- Current job descriptions
- Timely interviews and debriefs
- Offer package determination
- Utilize social media, employment brand, and personal expertise to successfully target passive applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks
- Develop, maintain, and increase relationships with professional networks, educational institutions, and local market talent community groups etc.
- Maintain, analyze, and distribute relevant recruitment reports and metrics
- Plan and provide hands on support interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments, in-person interviews, and reference checks
- Manage external recruiter relationships and contracts
- Provide leadership and guidance to other Talent Acquisition Specialists
- Update, maintain, and ensure data integrity in ATS and HRIS systems as needed
- Support other HR initiatives as needed
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Experience having sole accountability for project strategy development and implementation management
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting established deadlines
- Strong problem solving, reasoning, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and maintain strict confidentiality
- Expert with social media, resume databases, and professional network utilization to proactively source talent
- Experience managing end to end full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS (ADP preferred)
- Intense curiosity, resourcefulness, and excellent research skills
- Ability to work independently and within a highly collaborative team environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proactive approach to internal customer service and candidate experience
- Able to function positively in a fast-paced environment
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 5 years of experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist
- Proven success of hiring hard-to-fill roles
- Insurance/financial services experience strongly preferred
- Certification obtained from the HR Certification Institute a plus
- Small company (<500) experience a plus
LOCATION
IFG is open to remote/hybrid/on-site but must be able to go into the office as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Physical demands are considered to be that of an office environment, climate controlled, with minimal physical exertion. This position requires prolonged sitting, ability to utilize a computer and interactions with others in meetings or via phone.
- Ability to travel as necessary according to business need
