This is an exciting opportunity to join ifm’s collaborative quality team.The Quality Technician is a multi-faceted role that interacts will all aspects ifm’s operations.This includes warranty evaluation, production failure analysis and product calibration.This is a hands-on role that will provide a new challenge each and every day.

Job Responsibilities
- Test and analyze questionable products returned for warranty evaluation, including maintaining analysis results in a warranty returns database.
- Communicate directly with sales team and customers providing reports detailing failure causes.
- Monitor warranty claims and escalate recurring challenges to engineering team.
- Perform calibrations of temperature sensors and generate associated certifications for customers in compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001 or ISO 17025.
- Test and analyze nonconforming products generated in ifm prover’s manufacturing process.
- Maintain test equipment and manage calibrations in the quality labs; manage calibrations of production reference probes.
- Associates Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3 years experience in quality, manufacturing support or customer service role.
- Ability to use hand and power tools such as mill, lathe, and drill press to aid in the investigation of product failures.
- Ability to use technical tools such as power supplies, digital multimeters, calipers and gauges.
- Functional understanding of quality tools, including 8D and 5-why.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Competent in the use of computers including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team.
- Willing to acquire new skills and grow with the company.
